Pyramid Lake is now open & the Rondies will go forward as planned. By the way, they are catching a lot of big fish.
This will be a guided two-day Rondy at Pyramid Lake, Nevada. We will be fishing for big Lahontan cutthroat trout, while guided by Rob Anderson. We will be primarily fishing from ladders, which are provided and placed by Rob. There is an opportunity to do some wade fishing too. This rondy will be limited to 12 people.
The gear required for Nymphing: 5-6 wt single handed fly rods, with floating lines. For Streamers: 7-8 wt single handed fly rods with shooting heads.
We will be staying at a Reno, NV hotel (special rates) and car-pooling from there to the lake. Breakfast & lunch are provided.
This Rondy is for experienced anglers ONLY and is NOT for current participants in the Learn to Fly Fish Program or other beginners.
The expenses for the trip include a $190 guide's fee plus a non-refundable $25 Rondy fee (total registration fee = $215), a small tribal fishing permit fee, and the cost of the hotel and dinners.
Online registration, including payment of the registration fee, is required to reserve your spot. A wait list will appear once the limit of 12 registrants is reached.
A clinic will be scheduled (date TBD) at the clubhouse. Everyone going on this Rondy should plan to attend.
