Tom Morgan Rodsmiths Premieres New 8’ 4wt Fly Rod at GGACC Demo Day

Come cast with the owners of Tom Morgan Rodsmiths as hosted by the GGACC.
Legendary rod builder, Tom Morgan, forever changed fly fishing when he owned R.L. Winston, which was the start of his life-long quest to build the perfect fly rod. Twenty years ago, after selling Winston, he created Tom Morgan Rodsmiths to further pursue his passion to design and craft the finest casting rod a fisherman will ever own.
While other companies’ rods have followed the trend towards stiffer actions -- sacrificing touch and finesse for distance -- TMR rods are world-reknown for their smooth progressive taper, giving anglers the purest feel and accuracy. Tom commented, “If you build a great rod , it will always be a great rod. The river and fish won’t change. There’s no need to replace it with a newer model every two years.”
To deliver this unrivaled experience, each TMR rod is custom-crafted in Bozeman, Montana by Matt Barber, Joel Doub and their staff of expert craftsmen. In addition to nickel silver hardware, agate stripping guides and top quality cork, TMR customers choose their own handle shape, reel seat wood hardware, and inscription. When building the world’s finest rods, every single detail matters. You will only truly understand this once you’ve held one in your hands.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, Matt and Joel will introduce a new 8’ #4wt rod, which Tom designed to be the quintessential spring creek rod. This two-piece rod will become your “go-to” for stalking trout with small dry flies. When you come to this GGACC event, you’ll be one of the first to cast it! You can also demo a number of TMR’s other graphite, bamboo, and fiberglass rods which will be paired with reels from Hardy.
This free event runs from 9 AM until 3 PM and is open to the public (bring your buddies!).
