Fly Fishing Skill Building Program - Saltwater Flats Fly Fishing

  • 13 Jan 2018
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Angler's Lodge and Middle Casting Pond
Cost: free.  This event is open to the public.
Registration for this particular 2-hour special event this month is NOT being requested as typically required for most monthly Skills Building programs. Also note that the 1:00-3:00pm start & end times are also a little different than the usual times for other Skills Building classes.

The Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT) is an international conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring bonefish, tarpon, and permit fisheries and habitats.  BTT’s Director of Science and Conservation, TV personality and author, Dr. Aaron Adams will be joining GGACC’s Master Casting Instructor Willy George for this two-hour outdoor seminar featuring saltwater fly casting techniques and stealthy saltwater presentations targeting three species - bonefish, tarpon, and permit.

Later in the afternoon, inside the Angler’s Lodge, BTT will be presenting additional information about their many research projects and initiatives.  They have generously offered to host dinner that evening.  See the separate Events Calendar posting for the 3 - 6 PM activity on the GGACC calendar and please register for that event to help us arrange the proper amount for food & beverages.
