CANCELLED - Academic Study of Steelhead Populations - by Steven Fong

  • 14 Mar 2020
  • 2:45 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Anglers Lodge meeting room

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THIS DATE AND WILL LIKELY BE RESCHEDULED FOR A FUTURE DATE.  The GGACC Board of Directors have decided to cancel this event in consideration of the City of San Francisco and Recreation & Parks Dept. guidelines to not hold large gatherings in Golden Gate Park to possibly prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Steven Fong, the Humboldt State GGACC Scholarship recipient, has been invited to come speak to some of our club members on March 14, 2020, from 2:45 - 3:30 PM.

Steven will be presenting a brief overview of his thesis study in the use of genetics to study Steelhead population relationships in the Mad River and other North California coastal waters.

This presentation will immediately follow the Skills Building Class that day, and will be an interesting opportunity to meet this bright young student and to see the kind of fisheries research that the GGACC's Conservation Committee has selected to support with club funds each year.

There is no registration required for this event.
