So you want to go fishing…
The Women’s Program is excited to get the women of GGACC together virtually to catch up and talk fishing! Being stuck at home is the perfect time to connect with like-minded people, maybe learn something new and plan a fishing trip (or seven!) for later this year. Board member, club casting instructor and fisher Sarah Trenschel will be hosting this event virtually over Zoom.
We will focus on fishing smaller creeks and rivers in California; the Upper Sac being the biggest water we will discuss.Topics will include basic logistics and tactics around what to pack and what to do once you get to your fishing destination. We’ll cover gear, reading the water, matching the hatch, and safe fish landing & handling. Our session will be geared towards beginner to intermediate level fly fishers and will be focused on practical tips.
We also want to leverage your own experience and knowledge and hear from you, so bring your tips and best practices to share with the group. Don’t forget your questions!
