The GGACC Conservation Committee is pleased to invite you to our virtual speaker event:

"Steelhead: Diversity and Behavior

Lessons from the Elwha Dam Removal”

Thursday, June 4th, 6 pm PST

A presentation by John McMillan

Hosted by GGACC member Stephen Starke

John McMillan, Science Director for Trout Unlimited’s Wild Steelhead Initiative (www.wildsteelheaders.org) will give a presentation about our favorite Mykiss, the Steelhead Trout. John will bring his vast research, deep knowledge and amazing underwater photographs of these ghostly fish to our membership shedding light on what makes steelhead different than salmon, how behavior helps drive diversity and ultimately, how diversity has helped steelhead respond to dam removal in the Elwha River basin. We guarantee you will enjoy John’s photography, videos, and easy-to-understand approach to conveying complex topics in a way that everyone can understand.

We invite you to cook up a pot of chili, grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the discussion.

This presentation is for GGACC members exclusively. If you would like to invite a fishing buddy, they can sign up to become a member through our website at www.GGACC.org for access to this event in addition to all of our programs and events throughout the year.
