Fireside Environmental Speaker Series

The GGACC Conservation Committee is pleased to invite you to our Virtual speaker event:

A presentation by Michael Weir of CalTrout

Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 7 pm PT

Hosted by Stephen Starke

Fishy filmmaker and Cal Trout Field Reporter Mikey Wier will come to the Fireside with a slideshow presentation on California’s Mokelumne River. He will review the history of the river and discuss the current state of future threats. He will also give us some of his secret spots to fish the river and what to use. We will learn about the Wild and Scenic campaign and the efforts to save the river from a proposed expansion plan of the Pardee Dam which if built would flood 4 more miles of the best part of the river that is left.
