Single Handed Spey Casting Clinic-general membership

This is a one day introduction to Spey casts with a single hand trout size rod (5 or 6 wt.).

You can use a Spey Cast whenever there is no back cast room to make an overhead cast. Unlike a roll cast we can change direction of the cast. We will concentrate on the water borne anchor cast and introduce the touch and go casts.

The class will held at the pond and in the water.

This class is offered to the GGACC general membership.  GGACC members only.

Suggested Gear:  5-6 wt. single handed fly rods, with floating lines. Leader should be tapered 7.5 to 9.0 feet long with a yarn fly. This will be a in-the-water class at the ponds so you will need waders, wading boots (no metal studs) eye protection, note taking supplies, lunch and water.  

Cost:  The fee for class is $75.00  

Cancellation Policy:  There are no refunds.  In the event that a member is, for any reason, unable to attend, he may resell his slot (rod) to another GGACC member (by first pulling from the waitlist if one exists).  It is the sole responsibility of the member to manage this transaction.  This is not the responsibility of the leader or club.
